The purpose of the Hyannis Access Study is to develop a full range of transportation improvements and evaluate how well they would address the stated goals of the study. All the evaluations take into consideration current roadway improvement projects, such as the widening of Route 132 and the widening of Willow Street, and the projected growth in the area.
All the alternatives were developed, refined, and culled from a large list of alternatives based on substantial input from the Hyannis Access Study Task Force and other stakeholders such as MassHighway.
Alternatives under consideration are posted to the web site as they are developed, and surveys will be made available for other improvements in the future.
Please keep in mind that the study does not necessarily seek to find one perfect transportation solution. Rather, the final report may recommend that alternatives be combined into a package and/or prioritized over time.
